Day 1
On your first morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and start your way immediately along the Southern Coast. Our accommodation is on the other side of the island and requires almost two hours of driving, but we will make many stops at different locations to break up the journey.
The first two stops are the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Seljalandsfoss has a path behind it that allows you to adventure behind the falls. Skógafoss is a wide and roaring waterfall with chances of rainbows.
Next, we will visit another stunning waterfall nearby. Hidden in a canyon of rocky mountains.
Next, we will be heading to the last location of the day: The famous Black Sand Beach Reynisfjara.
Join our journaling & poetry workshop & activity.
-
We start the day driving from Vík to Vatnajokull National Park to start exploring the glacial area. We'll spend most of our day at the National Park doing small hikes and wandering around the face of the Glacier. We’ll visit a waterfall and see a glacier close up.
Next, we will be visiting The glacier lagoon known as Jökulsárlón. It’s a lagoon filled with drifting Ice chunks and hearing the ice drift and crack is an ethereal experience.
From Jökulsárlón we head over to a beach only a minute away. This beach is no ordinary beach. The black sand beach right off of Jökulsárlón is where a lot of the ice chunks drift and land. It’s also known as Iceland’s Black Diamond Beach.
-
We will visit and explore one of the most beautiful locations in Iceland, Vestrahorn. With stunning mountain views, you'll be on black sand while taking in the breathtaking views.
Next, we will visit the VIKING VILLAGE. Movies and TV shows are filmed here at this Viking Village. Possible chance to encounter farm animals along the way.
From Vestrahorn we will make our long drive back to Selfoss. There will be plenty of stops along the way for you to stretch your legs and take photos.
-
We will spend our day trekking to the famous Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River. The hike is 3 km long one way.
Reykjadalur means 'Steam Valley' and it's part of the Hengill volcanic area. The last eruption was 2,000 years ago but the geothermal activity beneath the earth's surface still heats the region.
Next, we will visit the Golden circle and make stops at Thingvellir National Park, The Geysir Geothermal Area, and Kerid Crater.
Next, we make our drive towards Grundarfjörður where our group workshop & activities are planned.
-
Day 5 will be our chance to slow down, have free time to walk around, shop, and explore the local town.
We will prepare a special group workshop centered around journaling, writing, arts & craft.
-
Start our last day on tour visiting Kirkjufell Mountain and falls. The most photographed mountain in Iceland. Get ready to take a postcard-worthy photo here.
Next, we will be making our way back to Reykjavik. Along the way back to Reykjavik we will be exploring the coast of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
We will visits sights like: Gerðuberg basalt cliffs, an abandoned fishing boat, and the malarrif light house.
To end the trip we will all go together to a Luxury Geothermal bath house.
We will have our last group dinner together and host our last group workshops and activities.

Iceland is one of the worlds most expensive destinations. Everything from food, accommodation, and transportation likely costs double-triple to what you’re used to back home.
Our tour has a maximum guest list of 10. Meaning we travel in a smaller group size, resulting in a more personal and memorable experience. We value quality over quantity.
Most group tours similar to ours have a typical group size of 15-24.
Our service is top-notch. From our experienced guide who will take care of you 24/7 from start to finish, to our professional experienced drivers who will transport you safely around the entire country for the entire duration.

Northern Lights are highly unpredictable. It’s a natural phenomenon and requires a good weather forecast and a bit of luck. There can be no promised sighting, but with an experienced guide, you will have a higher chance of seeing them. Our company has a 9/10 track record for seeing the northern lights. But it is still not 100% guaranteed.

Meet CuongTravels - Your Icelandic Adventure Companion!
Hey there, fellow wanderers! I'm Cuong, your dedicated tour guide on this journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland. For the past 7 years, I've had the incredible privilege of being a travel guide here in Iceland, weaving stories, creating connections, and turning strangers into lifelong friends.
My journey in Iceland began with a deep-seated passion for bringing people together. It's not just about the stunning landscapes or iconic sights; it's about the magic that happens when a group of individuals becomes a tight-knit community, sharing laughter, stories, and creating memories that linger long after the trip ends.
Our trips are not merely about sightseeing; they are about the connections we make along the way, the bonds formed against the backdrop of Iceland's wonders.
Each itinerary is meticulously crafted to not only showcase the natural beauty of Iceland but also to provide a canvas for friendships to flourish. Whether we're chasing the Northern Lights, exploring hidden gems, or savoring local delicacies, every moment becomes an opportunity for camaraderie and genuine connection.
Let's embark on this meaningful journey together, where the beauty of Iceland is not only in the scenery but in the connections we forge along the way. I can't wait to explore, laugh, and create memories that last a lifetime with you. - CuongTravels
